Bipolar disorder information and resources

Bipolar disorder is a serious chronic illness. This post links to articles from popular and academic news sources. It also lists trusted sources of information. Psychotherapists, journalists, and experts on the disorder provide information and coping tips. I have included links to information for parents of children or teens who may have a bipolar diagnosis.

If you, your child, or someone you know has bipolar disorder and is in crisis, my crisis resources page includes hotline numbers for the San Francisco Bay Area. It also has a link to a safety plan template.

I will update this page as I identify new resources.
